THIS TEXT WAS MIGRATED FROM MSN AND IS NOW IN THE PROCESS OF BEING UPDATED.

This site contains pictures of over 1000 Ordnance Survey Triangulation Pillars, more familiarly known as Trig Points. Where possible a close up photograph of the uniquely numbered Flush Bracket is shown too.

The aim here was for quantity rather than quality. Whilst every effort is made to visit on days with good weather, you will see from some of the photographs that this did not always work out.

These images were submitted by several enthusiasts between October 2002 and December 2008. Following the closure of the MSN Groups facility, this collection has been frozen. The site manager is preserving these images in the names of those who kindly submitted them over that period. All new trig pillar photographs should be submitted to http://www.trigpointinguk.com

Also on this site were over 6200 photographs of wall mounted non pillar flush brackets (NPFB) which act as Bench Marks along Levelling Lines between Fundamental Bench Marks (FBM). These images are in the process of being moved to another archive website called "http://npfb.multiply.com" where thousands more NPFB images submitted since December 2006 are now archived.

The final resting place for all NPFB photographs will be "http://npfb.multiply.com"

Trig pillars last sorted into order on site 02/03/2009.

Spreadseets for all trig pillars and NPFBs need to have new links inserted. Hopefully by sometime later in 2009.

Updates will be announced in mails posted to http://groups.yahoo.com/group/trigonomy

Comments and suggestions on the site are welcome and can be sent by e'mail to clochandighter at yahoo.co.uk
Please note immediate replies to individual mails will not be forthcoming. This is a very busy mailbox, and my spare time is very limited. While I am dealing with email correspondence, site development work is being delayed as a result. I prioritise on the latter. A quicker response is often achieved by sending an email to the Trigonomy Group giving others the chance to have a say in your enquiry.

I have some non-montage photos of trigs as per trigpointinguk.com. Are they any use to you here or not?
